Abstract
Nostril stenosis is often encountered in primary and secondary repair of cleft lip. Other causes of nostril stenosis include trauma, bum and infectious diseases as syphilis or diphtheria.
Various methods of correction have been documented for mai1y years.
But because wide variations exist between patients in the level and degree of stenosis, it seems good to select an adequate method timely according to the individual deformity.
We hereby present a perialar crescent MC flap method. This flap is a unit of the skin and levator labii superioris muscle,formed as a random island fashioned flap, transferred into the nostril. on a 1.5-2.0cm long pedicle.
This method has several advantages as follows ;
1) Simple method
2) Less postoperative contracture
3) No donor site deformity
4) Simultaneous use with secondary repair of cleft lip
